Lisa von Braun, PMHNP-BC

Lisa von Braun is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, board certified across the lifespan. After earning a Master’s in Nursing at the
University of New Hampshire, Lisa served as a psychiatric nurse for several years, then completed her psychiatric nurse practitioner post-master’s certification at Yale School of Nursing. She has a previous background in Special Education, with a Master’s in Education from Lesley University. She teaches advanced practice psychiatric nursing students, both in person and online, at Regis College and previously at  the University of New Hampshire. In the past year, Lisa has delivered  educational lectures about treating benzodiazepine dependence and withdrawal to primary care providers, psychiatrists, and advanced practice nursing students.
Lisa, herself an adoptee, parented two sons and served as a therapeutic foster parent  to  teenage  foster children, eventually adopting a teen from foster care. Lisa is a member of NAMI, the American Psychiatric Nurses’ Association, and the  New Hampshire Nurse Practitioner Association. Lisa’s practice interests include individuals with co-occurring mental health needs and substance use, adoption and foster care,  and integrated practice.
